Another Sea Day Thursday 8 June

Same as yesterday. Good nights sleep, off to the gym and then breakfast. On our way back from the gym our cabin is being serviced. So we go to check out the laundromat which is just a few doors down from our cabin. I notice a door at the end of the aisle leading out onto a small deck space with deck chairs. We rest here while the room is finished and decide to come back after breakfast.

There are a few people there but there are two deck chairs available. We have a great view from the back of the ship and we are protected from any wind. We stay there until about 12.45 and then head off to lunch. After lunch more exercise in the gym. My knee is starting to get a bit of fluid build up, so I may have to better manage it. More bicycle and less walking.

Princess require confirmation of any private tour or we will not be allowed to get off. I have not heard anything from the person I booked with so a little concerned. I find her email address and send off an email. We then head off for a coffee and then to a bar. It is formal night and the early diners are arriving all dressed up and having portraits done. We join a couple and it turns out they are also on the same tour and have not heard anything either. A NZ couple join us and we have very friendly discussion. A lady then approaches us and asks if John Hoy is here! She is the lady who has organised the tour. She tracked me down by my use of the medallion app which is used when your purchase anything. Obviously Princess cruises gave her the information, but clearly they can track you round the ship whenever you use your app. Which can be scary but also very helpful.

Tonight we had a table for two but ended up in a table of six. The two other couples were great fun and the staff ask whether we would like to have the same table every night and we all agree. While we could stick with anytime dining it does become messy with waiting for tables to be turned over and at least we know we will enjoy each others company. Tried the entertainment again but left after two songs.

View from our aft deck.
