Friday 11 August Saguenay

A wet and dreary morning. We have sailed up the Saguenay fjord into the Saguenay river and the town of Saguenay. The area looks lovely but the overcast conditions do not help. It is a small dock but it is a short walk into the town. The welcome area has a number of performers showing their juggling skills etc for us as we disembark the ship. We head off to trivia before going on shore. We have our worst effort with three out of 20., but the winners only had 12. They were very difficult questions ☹️

Amy the host felt sorry for us so she gave us a prize as well!

We head off at 11 am and keep an eye on the clouds. While overcast it is 19 degrees.

There is quite a mix of modern buildings and traditional houses. There is a pleasant walk along the waterfront. After about 60 minutes the clouds look threatening and we decide to head back. We arrive back just in time, as the rain gets heavy just after we are back onboard.

We sail out at 5 pm but the wind has picked up and it is still overcast and dreary.
