Monday 3 June

Had a quiet night last night. Both feeling a bit tired from the effort to get on board. Weather still cloudy and overcast and cool. Slight swell so the ship is not moving a lot but there is still some rocking.

When we got back to our cabin after dinner last night there were some special gifts waiting for us. A wanky lanyard and medallion showing we are doing the world cruise and a back pack and carry bag.

Had a good nights sleep and went for a walk this morning starting off at 7.40. The promenade deck goes right around the ship, not like the grand Princess we were on when we did the Melb to Sydney where you had to go up and down stairs at the bow. We did six laps and hopefully I can increase that as I get used to it.

We did one trivia this morning, TV themes. We got 8 out of 20, the winners got 19. Clearly we do not watch enough crap TV. We haven’t got a team yet, but there is still a long way to.

This afternoon I took part in a chipping. Chipping off a small practice strip into an upturned umbrella. Got three out of five with two just lipping out.

After dinner tonight we are going to the Production Show - Encore.

I hope there is not an encore. Ann enjoyed some of it. The choreography was very ordinary. To me it was a number of songs that you only hear at musicals and they all sounded similar. While the cast had good voices, it just seemed that it was a competition as to who could sing the loudest, who could hit the highest note and who could hold the longest note!

Tomorrow morning we dock in Brisbane.
