Friday 14 July At Sea

Ann was very tired last night after our walk. She went to sleep at 9 pm and slept through to 7.30! We thought there was going to be Tapas at the horizon court, but no. We had to make do with NZ mussels, calamari and prawns! 😃

We wake to smooth seas, light wind, cloudy skies and 26 degrees. A lovely morning.

We have a quiet day but at 3 pm we have our free wine tasting. We taste a Sparkling (Aus), Chardonnay (Californian), Pinot noir (NZ), Cabernet Sauvignon (Aus) and a dessert wine (Aus). We then grab  takeaway coffees and cake and have it on our balcony  in very pleasant surroundings, 32 degrees but we have the shade on our side. As we are relaxing we hear a splash and there is a pod of dolphins jumping out the water around the ship’s wake. By the time I get the telephoto lens sorted out they are gone! This is the first major sighting of marine life that we have had, apart from a couple of flying fish!
