Monday 3 July Red Sea

Head off to gym later at 7.45 and machines are available. It is a lovely sunny morning with a mild 29 degrees and clear skies. The Red Sea is looking very blue. Every day when we head to breakfast around 9 there are always people sunning themselves at the outdoor pool and lying on couches in the indoor pool area or in the pool. Some people like to get an early start.

Tomorrow we arrive in Aqaba and we are looking forward to getting off. There have been a lot of sea days due to missing our stop in Oman. We are due to arrive at 7 am. At the midday weather and location report we are told it is expected to be 40 degrees tomorrow. At least I will be skin diving, I hope Ann can cope with the heat. Hopefully the boat will have a canopy on it. We also have time at the beach resort after the excursion, but I suspect we might head straight back to the boat after our lunch.

We have not been happy with our coffees at the international cafe, so we head off to the horizon court to try them out. They were not much better. We prefer our coffees extra hot but we have only achieved that on two occasions. However they have fresh scones with jam and cream at the horizon court! This may become our regular afternoon treat. As we are enjoying are scones a waiter asks if we are interested in a balcony breakfast. We end up booking one for 8 am on Wednesday 5 July for when we enter the Suez Canal.
