Tuesday 18 July At Sea

As we left last night the wind really picked up, so much so that it was whipping up the spray off the ships wake. As we left the river it started to get rough. Fortunately we were in bed so we got rocked to sleep!

This morning we have strong winds, cloud and 2 metre swells and 20 degrees. You can notice the  ship moving a bit when up forward and mid ships, but aft where we are it is quite minor movement, but I expect as we head further into the North Atlantic towards Great Britain we will experience more movement. We did well at trivia with 16 out of 20 and the winners had 17!

It was a quiet day today, very windy and cool with the temperature not getting over 20. Towards afternoon the wind died down a bit but it is still strong. The sea has also eased a bit. Tonight we have another formal dinner.
